Hungary is a member of EU and Schengen area. If you are not a citizen of the European Union, then most probably you will need to apply for a study visa before you arrive in Hungary. AISAC will guide you through the application process for a Hungarian study Schengen visa. However, it is your responsibility to prepare all the required documents and appear at the Hungarian Embassy or Consulate in your country.
When we talk about visa, we actually mean a study residence permit which will allow you to stay in Hungary and register at a university or college.
In general, you will be required to furnish the following papers. However, each embassy or consulate may need other papers.
Admission letter from an accredited secondary or higher educational institution for full-time students;
Proof of sufficient English language abilities required to pursue your education.
A passport valid for at least the desired duration of stay;
Proof of booked lodging in Hungary,
Proof of appropriate financial resources.
Proof of legitimate health insurance.
We will assist you and check the required documents before they are submitted to the consular section. We will organize several visa consultation sessions for you online or in person. You will be required to go to the consular section, at the selected appointment, for biometric verification and visa interview.
When you register in the AISAC admissions system, we will provide you the necessary information and track your case until you receive your visa and residence permit. The Hungarian Immigration Authority is exclusively responsible for making decisions about your Hungarian visa and residence permit application. AISAC and other members of Avicenna Holding have no control or influence over the authorities’ decision regarding your application, and hence accept no responsibility for any positive or negative decision taken by the authorities.
Once you receive your visa from the Hungarian embassy or consulate, we will help you arrange for your travel to Budapest. If your university is in other cities, then we will arrange for your transfer to that city.
After your arrival in Hungary, you will refer to the local immigration authority and receive your residence permit card which is usually valid for one year or sometimes more. Your residence permit will be extended as long as you are a registered student and you follow all the immigration rules and regulations of Hungary and the EU.
